Vegan For The Animals

VEGAN FOR THE ANIMALS

Our current society normalizes the idea that there is a line somewhere between species. On one side of that manufactured division a dog, meant to be cuddled and loved and on the other side a pig, bred into existence for the sole purpose of killing it to dine on his flesh.

A PIG IS A DOG IS A BEAR IS A BOY

Animals' bodies are chopped up and wrapped in packaging covered with pictures of them looking happy for us to buy. As consumers of animal products we are purposefully shielded from the captivity they endure, the fear they experience and the violence they unwillingly succumb to. We carry their bodies home in our shopping bags and chuck them on the grill or in the oven so we can enjoy five minutes of taste sensation - most of which comes from the plants we use to season their flesh.

IT SOUNDS LIKE A HORROR MOVIE...

But why stop with the consumption of their dead bodies. Because, of course, the cream for your face has to be tested on the eyes of a bunny, monkey or beagle first….And it’s a good thing to ‘use the entire animal’ so there’s nothing wrong with stripping the skins off their lifeless bodies to make them into jackets, purses and sneakers… Now 50% off….

Countless day old chicks ground up alive simply because they are male and cannot lay eggs. Crabs robbed from their legs and claws because they contain the tastiest meat, the rest of their bodies considered worthless, thrown back overboard and left to die on the bottom of the sea. 2 Billion animals are tortured and killed worldwide every week. It sounds like a horror movie, right? But it is a very real industry…

WE SUFFER AS EQUALS

They say animals have no voice but they do and they scream out in suffering. And in the capacity to suffer we suffer as equals. Crazy people will justify these actions by telling themselves that we have to kill and eat animals because otherwise they will ‘take over the world’. Less crazy people will pretend it all doesn’t happen.

REMOVE THE BLINDFOLD

The weirdest thing about all of this is that it is considered completely normal. ‘Everybody’s doing it’, so why challenge the status quo?It is time to remove the blindfold. Animal Rights is now the greatest Social Justice issue since the abolition of slavery. If you think you would have a hard time explaining what we do to millions of animals on a daily basis to the generation that comes after us this is your sign to make the connection and help cease the madness.

STOP BUYING THE BULL

The good news is that you can step out of this cruel parallel universe right now. The only thing you have to do is make different choices. And it starts at the supermarket when you stop buying the bull. The rewards are huge. You become part of a world where all beings are considered equal and free. Good karma, positive energy and the knowledge of being part of something so much bigger than yourself.

VEGANISM AT THE CORE

The world is already changing but we have the power and moral obligation to speed things up. The sooner the better for the animals that are presently trapped in this living hell. That is why veganism is at the very core of everything we do. From the products we create to the food we eat.

And we won’t stop until every cage is empty.
