A crucial step: Off to Portugal to finalise the last production details

Dear Nooch pioneers,

Here’s a new update! As we mentioned in our previous email, we had an issue incorporating your PLIANT soles into the production process. Good news: this has now been resolved! 🥳

After resolving this issue, the factory sent us various sizes to test. Over the past few days, we’ve measured lots of feet and had people try on the shoes to gather feedback. The reactions have been very enthusiastic! However, we’ve noticed that for some feet, the shoe feels slightly too narrow at the front or a bit too stiff around the ankle. It’s a matter of millimetres, but it’s important to get this right.

On Monday, Lotte and I are heading to Portugal to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, and to prepare everything down to the smallest detail for production. We’re really looking forward to finally meeting in person the people we’ve been in such close contact with online recently.

We have a very tight schedule and will make the most of our time there to perfect the production process, fine-tune the planning, and get everything ready so that we can finally start production in earnest after the summer holidays!

We understand that you were already looking forward to your Nooch shoes back in May. This journey has been full of challenges and bumps in the road, with all sorts of obstacles along the way. Every component of the shoe affects the whole; everything works together. And with every step we take at Nooch, we keep the impact on Mother Earth in mind

It’s important to know that many of the steps we’re taking now are one-offs. Sometimes we have to take a step back and redo something, but that’s how we learn, and we can then move forward. Without your patience and understanding, this would never have been possible, and for that we’re incredibly grateful to you.

We can’t wait to see you shining in your very own Noochies soon!

Cumprimentos

Lotte and Stefan
